Feds give unemployed homeowners a year of foreclosure protection
 July-07-2011--Unemployed homeowners facing foreclosure are getting an extension of financial help from the Obama administration. Starting Aug. 1, the Federal Housing Administration will require lenders to extend the forbearance period for unemployed to 12 months, up from 90 days. The adjustment, under the Making Home Affordable Program, will provide much-needed assistance for unemployed homeowners trying to stay in their homes while seeking re-employment. “The Obama administration is taking a positive step to stand with the unemployed to give them a chance to save their homes through this 12-month forbearance policy,”
